What leaves your browser

The DOI or PubMed ID you type into the citation lookup. It goes directly from your browser to Crossref (api.crossref.org) or to PubMed at the U.S. National Library of Medicine (eutils.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov). For a PubMed ID, the DOI that PubMed returns is then sent to Crossref to complete the reference. Crossref requests include our contact address, as Crossref asks. Those services have their own privacy policies.

What we store

Nothing about your lookups. There are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, and no ads.

One setting is stored in your own browser: your theme choice, under the name "theme". It never leaves your device.

Fonts and scripts

Every font and script is served from writing-rounds.com. The site loads nothing from advertising or tracking services.

Hosting

Cloudflare delivers the site. Like any web host, it handles basic technical data, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and block attacks.
